Creatives

A creative is the ad itself: a format, the words, an image, and what its button does. It says nothing about where or when it shows. Journeys place creatives on the pages of a path, so one creative can serve several journeys, and a journey can rotate several creatives in one placement.

The six formats a creative can take.
Term

Creative is the standard word in advertising and ad operations for the ad asset itself, as distinct from where it is placed or who it targets. Google Ads, Meta and LinkedIn all use it the same way.

The editor, step by step

  1. Format

Corner popup, banner, full screen, inquiry panel, proactive chat or quick replies. The format decides where the creative can appear (it fills placements of the same format) and which content fields it has. See the format table.

  2. Schedule & details

Optional start and end dates, shown in your browser's timezone and stored in UTC, so a teammate abroad reads the same window on their own clock. A creative outside its window does not show, even when switched on. Tags go here too.

  3. Copy

The fields follow the format: headline, body copy and button text for a corner popup; one line and a button for a banner; the opening message and follow-ups for proactive chat; three replies for quick replies. Images are uploaded straight to the creative, or taken from a Library document's cover.

  4. Action

    What a click does, below.

  5. Activate

On means the creative can be shown wherever a journey places its format; off holds it back with its content kept exactly as it is. A creative missing a required field is a draft and shows nothing until it is filled in.

What a click does

Every action is one of the widget's own surfaces, so a click never loses the visitor.

ActionWhat happens
Opens a linkSends the visitor to a page you choose. They leave the page the ad appeared on.
Hands over a documentOpens the Library on one document, over whatever page the visitor is on.
Opens the LibraryOpens the Library to browse: every published document, nothing pre-picked.
Opens InquiryYour standard contact form, right in the panel. On a corner card it opens a sheet over the page with the creative's image and copy on the left and the form on the right. The visitor submits without leaving the page.
Books a meetingOpens the booking popup. Nothing to link and nothing to hand over.
Opens a full-screen adOpens one of your full-screen creatives over the page. The card becomes the invitation and that sheet does the selling.

Links carry your UTM parameters through unchanged, and a form opened from an ad receives the same hidden values as the chat (setHiddenValues), so a campaign or plan name on the page lands in the CRM.

Tags

Tags are how a journey picks creatives. A placement can show only the creatives carrying a tag you choose, or leave out the ones that carry it. A tag says nothing about format or timing; it exists so a placement can draw on a hand-picked set instead of on everything that matches its format. Up to 10 tags per creative, lower case, a space becomes a hyphen. Select rows in the table to tag or untag in bulk. A creative with no tags can still fill any placement of its format; only a placement that names a tag is narrowed.

Generate from Library

Turn Library documents into draft creatives. Pick the documents worth promoting, pick the formats each should become, add optional instructions for the AI (we sell to security teams, lead with the numbers, never say "quick call"), and Meeton writes the copy from each document's title and summary. You review every draft; ticked drafts are saved as live creatives, and one tag can be applied to the whole batch so a placement can draw on exactly this set.

The creatives table

ColumnMeaning
LiveOn means this creative can be shown. If it also has a schedule, it shows only inside that window. A creative that is on but outside its dates is marked not showing.
FormatThe placement it can fill. A corner-popup creative fills corner-popup placements.
ScheduleRunning, Starts later, Ended, No dates, or Off. No dates means the switch beside it is the only thing deciding whether it shows.
TagsLabels your team put on it, for placements to draw on.
ButtonWhat a click does. The table rests sorted links first, then documents, then bookings.
ContentHeadline and copy, with a preview.
Caps

200 creatives per team. Deleting a creative removes its copy, and no placement can show it again; the numbers it earned stay on the journeys that showed it.
