Visitors

Every visitor who engaged with your site, live or not, anonymous or identified. The Visitors tab is the raw material of the dashboard: a row per browser, and behind each row a record with every conversation, page view and event the widget saw.

The table

The table shows visitors from the last 30 days, with a caption giving the share that is still anonymous. A visitor is LIVE while their browser has the page open and OFFLINE otherwise; Active now marks the ones browsing at this moment. Auto update keeps the table refreshing on its own.

Search and filters
Search by company or visitor name. Filter by stage (All stages, Customer, Contacts for visitors with contact information), Live now, Meeton-assisted and High intent.
Columns
Visitor, Company, Intent, Persona, Stage, Label, CSAT, Tags, Last message, Chat, Client, Source, Last active, ID, Meeton Assists, Recent page views and Page views. Customize columns picks which to show and drags them into order; Reset to default puts them back.
Actions
View details opens the record; Chat jumps straight to the conversation; Export CSV writes the current list.
Owners
From a row's menu, Change account owner and Change chat owner assign a teammate.

The CSV export carries more than the table: location (city, region, country), engagement counts (sessions, page views, unique page views, total session time), the five UTM fields, the original conversion source, the latest CSAT score and comment, one column per kind of Meeton assist (chat messages, form submits, offer clicks and conversions, on-site ad clicks, calendar clicks and conversions, calls started, Library page views and downloads), the contact fields when the visitor identified, the guessed company, intent, persona, user agent, origin and both owners.

The visitor record

Open a visitor and the header shows who they are, their company and location, where they came from (via the source and campaign), the current session and page views, and a Linked contact card that stays empty until the person identifies: a chat form, an email, or a booked meeting. The tabs:

Chat
A list of every conversation this visitor had on any surface, opening into the transcript. The surfaces are the main widget, scheduling, the resource Library, the inquiry panel and thank-you pages. A conversation is LIVE while it is going on and read-only afterwards, and gets a one-line summary and a short recap once it ends.
Profile
Visitor information, pipeline stages, client information (browser, device, IP address), tags, persona, recent page views and intent signals. Also the UTM parameters and ad click IDs of the first visit, any CSV import data, and marketing consent.
Timeline
Every event in order: page views with time spent and how far they scrolled, visitor and chat messages, ads shown and clicked (with the creative and journey step), calendar impressions, clicks and bookings, forms submitted with how the submission was confirmed (thank-you page, form completion, CRM record or form submit event), CSAT, emails sent, opened and clicked, and Library events down to the page read.
Pages
Page views, distinct pages, the most viewed page and the recent views with time on page.
Meeton Assists
The module interactions recorded for this visitor, grouped by Meeton Chat, Ads, Calendar and Library, and the conversion type (direct, assisted, unassisted) explained on the Dashboard overview.
CSAT Summary
For a support agent: every CSAT submission with its score, category and summary, including abandoned and deleted ones with who edited or deleted them.
The visitor record. Every conversation on every surface is in the Chat tab; the Timeline has everything else.

Replying in chat

From the Chat tab you can step into any live conversation and answer as the agent (Reply as Mia, whatever your agent is called). When you send a message the AI turns itself off for 5 minutes so you are not both answering; Resume AI replies hands the conversation back earlier. If the visitor is offline they will not see your reply until they return, and the reply box says so. The reply box is disabled while the visitor is offline or while the AI is in control.

Tip

A notification ruleset can alert Slack, email or Google Chat when a high-intent visitor or a target account starts chatting, so you can step in while they are still on the page.

Intent signals and engagement events

The Profile tab lists the intent signals that set the level described on the overview, newest first, with which ones set the level and which lowered it. The Engagement events list is the older, points-based view of the same behaviour: sent first chat message, session time over 10 minutes, visited on multiple days, clicked first ad, viewed first research page, viewed a purchase page after research, scrolled deep on a purchase, research, careers or support page.

Troubleshooting

SymptomLikely causeWhat to do
A visitor you expect is not in the tableTheir last visit is older than 30 days, or they bounced before the widget recorded anythingFind them through their contact, or through a drill-down in Insights, which covers longer windows.
Most rows are anonymousNormal: the caption shows the share. People identify when they chat, book or submit a formThe Contacts tab is the identified subset. Company identification still works for anonymous visitors.
Your reply does not reach the visitorThe visitor went offline, or the AI still has the chatWait for Visitor is online; the reply is delivered when they return. If the AI has the chat, send a message to pause it.
The company is wrongIt was guessed from the network, and the visitor is on a shared or VPN addressOnce they identify, their contact record carries the company they gave. The export shows Company (Guessed) and Company (Contact) separately.
Intent dropped to Low overnightThe signals expired after the inactivity period without a visitNothing to do: it rises again on the next visit. The record shows the expiry heading.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Label column?

The exclusion label: Competitor, Already a customer (before first contact), Spam / Reverse sales or Test. A labelled visitor stays in the table but leaves the funnels and the counts in Insights. (remove exclusion) clears it.

What is a persona?

A short description of who this visitor seems to be, shown in the Persona column and on the Profile tab. It stays empty while there is no persona information for the visitor.

Does the visitor see that a human joined?

Your message appears in the same thread, from the agent's name and photo. If you want the hand-off to be visible, say so in the message.

Can I open the visitor's company from here?

Yes. The company name opens the company drawer: firmographics, who else from the company is on the site now, the highest intent among its visitors, top pages and recent activity. See Companies.
